One family, seven signatures
The seven names on the 1997 constitution of Shayona Land Corporation are the seven names it carries into 2026 as Shayona Constructions Limited. They are also seven members of one family.
In an industry where firms are assembled around a single project and dissolved when it completes, thirty-seven years with one family at the table is not an administrative detail. It is the reason a buyer signing in 2026 is dealing with the people who began in 1989.
They have kept every festival together for thirty-seven years. Continuity of this kind cannot be recruited, and it cannot be bought.

Seven of the eight are the board of Shayona Constructions Limited. The eighth, Vasant Patel, is a director of Shayona Times Private Limited, the group’s media company — which is why his line names his company and the other seven do not need to. The seven signatures are the ones on the 1997 constitution of Shayona Land Corporation, and they are still seven.

In 1989 our family began to build.
The decision came with the guidance of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj and the elders of our family, and we took it as a leap of faith. Everything this group has become since stands on that morning.
What I believed then, I believe now. When a family buys a home from us, or a trader buys a shop, they are giving us years of their life and their work, and they are giving us their trust along with it. The right answer to that is to hand back the very best we are capable of building. Thirty-seven years later, that is the principle every person in this company still works to.
Every year has asked something of us, and every year the answer has been the same — the work of everyone involved, and the blessings of our gurus. Both are still with us.
People often ask how seven partners have stayed together for thirty-seven years. The answer is simple. We are one family. Every celebration in one house is a celebration in all seven. That is something a company can only be given, and we were given it at the start.
We opened schools, newspapers, media, sport and art because each new field opens a new way of thinking. We wanted the growth, and we wanted the minds that come with it — the people in this group have learned as much from what we started as the balance sheet has.
We are becoming a public limited company because we intend to go considerably further than we have.
The name grows, and the form grows with it. Our values, the quality of our work and our appetite for what comes next carry forward exactly as they are.
To the generation after us I want to hand two things. The first is our values, and above all the understanding that we hold other people’s trust, and that being worthy of it comes before everything. The second is the instinct to keep beginning things — because that is what grows a company, and it is what grows the people inside it.
And to every family living in a home we have built, I would want one thing remembered. You bought a home from a family. Every trader who took a shop from us bought an opportunity. We have watched what follows — the doors a home opens, the marriages it makes possible, the standing it gives a family, the way it enlarges what people believe they can do next.
That is the work, and we are only getting started.
