Shayona Constructions Limited

Building began in 1989. The firm was constituted as Shayona Land Corporation in 1997, and on 1 April 2026 it converted and began trading as Shayona Constructions Limited, a public limited company. The name on the buildings has not changed.

Seventy-five and more projects, private and government together. Fifteen thousand and more homes handed over as at 31 March 2026, twenty thousand and more commercial units sold, and sixty-five million square feet covered. Ten million square feet are underway.

The private half sells: apartments, bungalows, shops, offices and industrial estates, nearly all of it in Ahmedabad and much of it within a few kilometres of where the family has always lived.

The other half does not sell anything. It builds to a public specification, hands the finished thing to a government department, and walks away. The work is judged differently — by whether it opens on the date it was promised, and by how it wears.

The two are kept apart here, as they are kept apart in the office. A public contract is not a scheme with a brochure, and the record reads more honestly when neither is asked to stand in for the other.
